Rarible launches Solana NFT marketplace with Claynosaurz as first featured collection

Rarible said on Thursday that its NFT marketplace is now live on Solana, with Claynosaurz selected as the first featured drop. The platform now lists Solana alongside Ethereum, MegaETH and Base, and includes dedicated Solana Explore, Mint and Gacha pages. Solana’s verified X account amplified the launch the same morning. In its own launch statement, Rarible said it had spent months building, testing and preparing the rollout without announcing it, and described its earlier Gacha Station release on the network as a preview of what was coming. The company also said it had spent weeks speaking with NFT communities across Solana and that the feedback helped shape how the marketplace works. Rarible said more collections will be added over the coming days and weeks, calling the launch “only the foundation.” The move extends Rarible’s push beyond Ethereum, where it has also launched its own network, RARI Chain.

More Than 60 Crypto Firms and Projects Shut Down or Filed for Bankruptcy in the First Half of 2026

More than 60 crypto companies, blockchain projects, and DeFi protocols either shut down or filed for bankruptcy between January and July 2026, according to statistics cited by Bitcoin.com News and reported by PANews on July 29. The pace of closures picked up noticeably in the final weeks of July. The report identified three main drivers behind the wave: security breaches, regulatory friction, and business models that could not be sustained. The list spans multiple parts of the industry, including exchanges, Layer 1 and Layer 2 projects, DeFi protocols, wallet providers, NFT and gaming platforms, and DAO tooling services. Among exchanges, BitMEX said it will cease operations on Sept. 23, while AscendEX halted trading on July 1 after failing to secure an EU MiCA license. BitMart has begun a phased shutdown, and Odos is set to close all services on July 30. On the bankruptcy side, Movement Labs filed for Chapter 11 on July 21, Poolin sought bankruptcy protection this month, and Storj Labs also submitted a Chapter 11 filing.
